The numbers for September 2008 are the last within DV-2008. It looks like only some folks from Afrika and Nigeria will not become current if the numbers won’t change with the September Bulletin. In September Bulletin the winners from DV-2009 will see their first cut-off numbers.
Yesterday we got a mail from our girl friend in Florida that both green cards arrived and that she will send them today with DHL to Germany.
That’s the end of a 14 months long journey from the first notification to the greencard. Exciting months for us, but for sure things will get more exciting when we finally move 🙂
That’s the update we waited for the last days.

What are some of the most important things in the US? Getting a credit card and building credit history with a well score.
American Express offers for existing customers a nice program which is named Global Card Transfer. So we called the customer service and after some attemps we were connected to the right person. They collected all neccessary data and after 40 minutes our card application was approved and the cards are in the mail within the next 10 days 🙂
Today our immigration trip ended. We are back in Germany and have to work on our final move to the US.
Finally we are in New York. We are staying in the 42nd floor of one of the hotels with a gorgeous view!
New York is as lively as always. It was again very hot and humid today with a shower in the morning. Tomorrow we are going back to Germany .. I have to work on Wednesday 🙁
Good night from New York City and have a wonderful working Monday :-))
Mona and Marco
Folks and Friends,
Today we left Long Island and headed towards New York where we’ll stay until Monday. Before leaving we visited the Kings Park Festival where Marco was shaking hands and backslapping with congressman Lee Zeldin. I guess Marco will be nominated for the congress soon :-)))
It was sooo hot, that we left the festival soaked with sweat after one hour. However, it was really nice!
Have a wonderful sunday.
Greetings from New York,
Mona and congressman Captain Marco
Today our SSC were in the mailbox, 10 days after we applied for it at the Trenton, NJ Social Security Administration
Also the Welcome to the United States letter arrived 🙂
Hi Folks!
First thing we did this moring was to extend our stay at the Hyatt Regency Long Island. We got this real nice property for $45/night at Priceline which normally has rates at $160+ a night 🙂
After that we had a coffee at Dunkin’ Donuts and bought our meat for the BBQ at Waldbaum’s. We also tried this time one of those charcoal boxes which can be easily ignited with only one match and are ready within 10 minutes.
All that happened at Sunken Meadows State Park which also offers a gret beach where we went after the BBQ.
I think I don’t have to mention that once again the sun didn’t divide over Marco’s head .. so guess the colour of his body :-))))
Sunny greetings from Long Island,
Mona and Lobster
P.S. Tomorrow we are visiting the King’s Park Festival with rides, foods and a lot more :-)))
